Simple Solar Cookers

Simple Solar Cookers have been around for a long time, but solar power cooking has evolved these simple solar ovens into higher capacity solar oven designs to improve efficiency and ease of cooking and baking outside.

The latest and greatest of these simple solar cookers has just been released by Gaiam, a premier provider of quality ecological and natural organic products for greener living since 1988.

The Hot Pot Simple Solar Cooker was featured on “Good Morning America” yesterday.  It’s deemed to be the latest and greatest of outdoor solar ovens.  It’s apparently a low cost, high performance simple solar stove with  the capacity of temperatures up to 350-400 degrees within an hour for up to six hours.  It’s said to be perfect for baking, cooking, stews, fondues, etc., and is suppose to be very simple and easy to use.

The company says that it’s been tested and refined over six years, and sales of it help subsidize its distribution in developing countries to help reduce deforestation and respiratory disease caused by traditional cooking.  This sounds like a great cause.

New Gaiam Hot Pot Simple Solar Cooker

Although it’s not my usual post on weight loss tips that work, I had to tell you about neatest new gadget I just learned about.  It’s a product called the Hot Pot Simple Solar Cooker by Gaiam.  It’s an outdoor solar cooker being featured on “Good Morning America” tomorrow.  It sounds like a Great new product for those who like to cook and bake when camping or going to the park, or just keeping the house cooler when it’s so hot, lowering utility bills.

From what I’ve learned about it, it’s a low cost, high performance solar power outdoor oven that can have cooking temperatures up to 350-400 degress within an hour in full sun, and can be used up to six hours!  It would be great for camping, barbeques or any outdoor activity you’d like to have some home cooked meals for, or as I said, keeping the house cooler or utility bills down.  It’s suppose to be perfect for baking, stews, fondues, etc., and easy to use, so you can enjoy being outside instead of being hunched over a camp fire, using the sun Mother Nature’s provided!  It’s the latest and greatest of outdoor solar products available.
