Food Calorie List and Food Calorie Counter Benefits and Calculating Fast Food Calories and Chinese Food Calories

The Benefits of Having a Food Calorie List and Food Calorie Counter

Counting calories is important if you’re trying to lose weight.  If you ingest more calories a day than you burn the body will store them as fat and you’ll gain weight.  What you need to know is how many calories you’re ingesting with different food and drink items, as well as how much fat you can have.  This is where having a food calorie list and food calorie counter come in handy.  It’s nearly impossible to track your daily calorie intake without one of these tools, and they have to be comprehensive.

I.  To calculate how many calories your body needs each day, you need to calculate your ‘ideal’ (reasonable) weight:

II.  Then you need to determine your activity / exercise level, and multiply your ideal body weight by the number for your exercise level.  If you’re totally inactive, multiply the ideal body weight by 11.  If you exercise 2-3 times a week, multiply it by 13; if you exercise 4-5 times a week, multiply by 15, and if you exercise 6-7 times a week, multiply it by 18.

III.  Doing this will tell you how many calories your body needs each day to perform as it should.  Then you can figure out how much fat you can eat.  Nutritionists generally recommend a daily intake of fat to 30% of your total calories.  But, if you want to lose weight you should limit your daily fat intake to 20% of your total calories.

Having a current, complete and accurate food calorie list and/or food calorie counter are key in achieving your weight loss goals.  They need to include fast food calories for many fast food restaurants including Chinese food calories, Italian food calories, etc.

Fast Food Calories and Chinese Food Calories

Fast food calories are very high typically, and if you know just how many calories are in the fast foods you eat, it might help you to reduce calorie intake to lose weight.  Here are some examples of the highest fast food calories:

  • Nathan’s Fish N Chips  Calories: 1537
  • Carl’s Jr. Double Six Dollar Burger  Calories: 1520

  • Del Taco Macho Beef Burrito  Calories: 1170

There are many more fast food calories lists available, and I’d stick with the reputable sites like:

Chinese food is another very popular menu item, so I thought I’d add in some links for Chinese food calories lists, as well:

What’s Cooking America:  http://whatscookingamerica.net/NutritionalChart.htm and a great Chinese food calories resource at NMTC.net:  http://nmtc.net/search/chinese-food-calories-list

It’s very important to have an accurate and comprehensive food calorie list available to you, and a good food calorie counter benefits you more than I can tell you, because the only way you’ll lose weight is if you know you’re burning more calories than you’re taking in.  One of the most comprehensive online weight loss tools available that has a food calorie counter, food calorie list, calculating fast food calories and Chinese food calories and a lot more can be found here:

Thank you for your comment/feedback. I agree, you have to have more activity to lose weight, firm up, etc. That includes burning more calories than you eat, so it’s very helpful to know how many calories you’re taking in so you know how many you need to burn to lose weight! Thanks for visiting.
